Please Note: Our Spring Online Auction is postponed until the fall. We are still actively looking for donations and will be collecting them all summer. The change in start date will allow us to procure items that we couldn't get in time and will broaden the offerings. We will let you know as soon as we have the exact dates. In the meantime, keep us in mind for goods and services. Please contact Claire Willis at cwillis@facing-cancer.org for more details or if you know of a business or individual who would like to donate merchandise or services.

Support Groups July 2010

At Facing Cancer Together we provide people with cancer and their families support services that allow them to live the best quality of life possible while navigating through the terrain of life with cancer. Our belief is that community based support is a valuable complement to medical care, helping people feel less alone, discover ways to maximize their well-being and find hope.

Weather Policy: Please note that FCT is closed due to inclement weather if the Newton Public Schools close. If Newton Public Schools are not in session, please call the FCT number (617-332-5777) to listen to a general message letting you know if FCT groups and other programs are happening.

Flu Season: If you have ANY of the following symptoms, we ask that you not attend programs at FCT: sore throat, scratchy throat, headache, runny or stuffy nose, aching body, fever, chills, cough, fatigue, vomiting or diarrhea. Please err on the side of being "overly cautious" when you consider whether to attend an event or group at Facing Cancer Together since many of our participants have very suppressed immune systems. Thank you!
